DIFFICULTY
WHAT DOES DIFFICULTY CHANGE?
DIFFICULTY is the war’s setting: how sharp the enemy
commanders play and how long they leave you alone at the start. Any
nation works on any setting. The daily always runs EASY. The small
number on a pill is that setting’s live win record.
Nations differ in where they wake up, who they border and how they
fight — never in how hard the war is.
THE LONG WAR
OPERATIONS
Operations unlock in order. Every board and every
difficulty is still open to you right now in CHOOSE A NATION — the
campaign is a route through them, not a gate in front of them.
The same
operations in the same order, every world one tier harder. Veteran
clears and best times are kept apart from The Long War's.

TAKE THE WORLD
The whole map is the objective, and the HUD counts you toward it. You do not have to fight for all of it: hold 70% briefly and every rival surrenders, so the rest falls to you. Your clear time stops at that moment — the mark on the top edge shows where.

Every nation begins in one province.Troops refill to a cap. Faded-flag provinces belong to nobody, carry lighter garrisons, and never attack.
Tap or drag from your land to where you want to send.Troops route through your empire automatically. Double-tap a province to lock on it.Your selected provinces keep sending there automatically. SEND controls how much of each garrison stays home. Use multiple locks for multiple fronts. Tap the target again, press ESC, or use the LOCK chip to release.
Pause or speed up the war from the top bar.Pause stops the war but not you: select, send and develop while it waits. The speed button runs it at 1×, 1.5× or 2×. On a keyboard, Space pauses and S changes speed. A paused war doesn’t go on today’s board.
Fights run continuously. Both armies fall until one reaches zero. Bring more than they have: a tie goes to the defender, and a capital defends harder still.
Capitals are fortified.Your empire glows inside one acid border.
Take a nation’s final province to eliminate it.Those eliminations are your KILLS and have their own rankings.
