Nations Royale privacy policy
Last updated October 6, 2026
Nations Royale is made by Crest Systems, a brand of Oddsphere, LLC, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Questions about this policy go to hello@crestsystems.build.
The short version: there are no accounts and we don't ask for your name, email or location. The game saves your progress in your own browser. Depending on where you play, a small amount of gameplay data is sent to us or to the site hosting the game.
What is saved in your browser
Your campaign progress, medals, daily streak, best times, settings and the commander name you choose are kept in your browser's local storage. So is a random ID the game makes up for your device. It isn't tied to your identity. Clearing your browser data deletes all of it.
Playing on nationsroyale.com
- Leaderboards. When a war ends, the game sends the result to our server: the date, nation, difficulty, map, time, place, troops beaten and nations eliminated, along with your device's random ID and your commander name. Results appear on the public daily and weekly boards under that commander name. Don't use your real name as a commander name if you don't want it shown.
- Run logs. A record of the orders given during a war is sent along with the result. We use it to balance the game. It doesn't contain anything about you beyond the device ID above.
- Analytics. We use self-hosted Umami analytics. It records page visits and game events such as a war starting or ending, plus your general device type, browser and country. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't store your IP address.
- Rooms. If you join a room with friends, your nation, commander name and orders are shared with the other players in that room while the war runs.
- Server logs. Like any website, our web server keeps standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
nationsroyale.com shows no ads.
Playing on a game portal
When you play on a portal such as Poki, CrazyGames, itch.io, Playgama, GameDistribution, GamePix or Y8, that site runs its own software around the game. It decides what ads you see and what it measures, under its own privacy policy. Please read the policy of the site you're playing on.
- Poki. The game uses only the Poki SDK, for ads and Poki's own measurement. It sends nothing to our servers. Your progress stays in your browser.
- CrazyGames. The game uses the CrazyGames SDK for ads, your CrazyGames username and saving progress to your account. It also uses ByteBrew for gameplay analytics (ByteBrew privacy policy). Results are sent to our server for the shared leaderboards, as described above.
- Playgama, GameDistribution, GamePix and Y8. The game uses that portal's own SDK for ads and analytics and sends nothing to our servers.
- itch.io. The game uses the same cookie-free Umami analytics as nationsroyale.com, reported separately.
- iPhone and iPad app. The app uses the same cookie-free Umami analytics as nationsroyale.com, reported separately, including your device's random ID. Your progress and boards stay on your device, and nothing else is sent to our servers.
Children
Nations Royale is a general audience game. We don't ask for or knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a commander name on a leaderboard contains personal information, email us and we'll remove it.
Keeping and deleting data
Leaderboard results and run logs are kept to run the boards and to balance the game. We don't sell or share them, except that the public boards show commander names and results. To have your results removed, email us with your commander name and roughly when you played.
